Star Wars Lego: Anakin's Y-Wing
LEGO and Star Wars. What could be better? How about the newest LEGO set, Anakin’s Y-Wing fighter! The Y-Wing from the original movie trilogy is one of my favorite rebel ships, and it’s exciting to see what the early Republic version looked like from the Clone Wars series.
The Y-Wing starfighter was designed as a fighter-bomber, able to fight its way to a target, release its bombs, and then get out, mission accomplished. This LEGO version certainly looks like it could fulfill that duty. Based on the specs, the completed fighter is 17 inches (43.2 cm) long and 7 inches (17.8cm) wide. It features dual-opening cockpits, a firing missile and a secret lightsaber storage compartment. Very cool. The set also comes with three minifigures: Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and R2-D2 (with new Star Wars: The Clone Wars design).
