McFarlane Toys Halo Spartan Soldier Recon
McFarlane Toys has announced that their Halo Series 6 figures will be landing in stores and online October 2009. The new “Medal Edition” series includes new characters, new weapons, plus 10 different collectible medals. The Mattel line of action figures, creatures and vehicles based on the upcoming James Cameron film, AVATAR, is set to begin shipping in October. The toy lineup includes 4.25″ figures for the Na’vi characters, accented with glow-in-the-dark luminescence, as well as 3.75″ figures based on the human characters (such as Jake Sully, Col. Quaritch and Dr. Grace Augustine). Each figure comes with a unique weapon or accessory and exclusive character-specific i-TAG.

LEGO and Star Wars. What could be better? How about the newest LEGO set, Anakin’s Y-Wing fighter! The Y-Wing from the original movie trilogy is one of my favorite rebel ships, and it’s exciting to see what the early Republic version looked like from the Clone Wars series.
Doctor Who First Doctor and Black Dalek
From the floor of the ComicCon 2009 convention in San Diego comes the latest Doctor Who collectible, a limited-edition action figure set of the First Doctor and Black Dalek. Available in color, as well as a variant black and white version, this set captures the first incarnation of the Doctor, portrayed by William Hartnell, and the Black Delek designated as the “Supreme Controller” in the episode “Dalek Invasion of Earth” (December 1964).
