Quantum Mechanix has finally put a price tag and pre-order date for their large Serenity replica (measures 19″x12″x7″). For $2495 you, too, can own Serenity – The Big Damn Replica. Pre-orders will be taken starting October 30, 2009, at 12 p.m. PST. For those balking at dropping that much at one time, they will offer an online layaway plan (how nice).
The folks at Play.com in the UK are offering a limited-edition version of the 2009 film Star Trek XI.. on a USB flash drive. The 4 GB USB drive, in the shape of the Starfleet insignia, includes a DIVX certified DRM version of the movie (compatible with both PC or MAC OS). Playable on up to five devices, the film can also be burned to a DVD. The film itself consumes about 1 GB of the drive, leaving you 3 GB for your other storage needs. This limited-edition piece is individually numbered, and is expected to ship in November.

From the floor of the ComicCon 2009 convention in San Diego comes the latest Doctor Who collectible, a limited-edition action figure set of the First Doctor and Black Dalek. Available in color, as well as a variant black and white version, this set captures the first incarnation of the Doctor, portrayed by William Hartnell, and the Black Delek designated as the “Supreme Controller” in the episode “Dalek Invasion of Earth” (December 1964).
