eFX Star Trek Tricorder replica

eFX Inc. has announced that they will introduce a new series of high-end collectibles based on the classic Star Trek films and TV series, starting with the classic Mark IX Tricorder as seen in Star Trek: First Contact.  The $350 replica will be available for pre-order soon from the eFX website, for release later this year.  Limited to no more than 1,000 pieces worldwide, the Tricorders will be offered as a “Signature Edition” signed by actor Brent Spiner. For those that don’t know, Brent Spiner played the android Data in the tv series Star Trek: The Next Generation and subsequent movies.

Halloween is right around the corner, so if you haven’t already started thinking about what to wear, now is a great time. From the floor of the ComicCon 2009 convention in San Diego comes the latest Doctor Who collectible, a limited-edition action figure set of the First Doctor and Black Dalek. Available in color, as well as a variant black and white version, this set captures the first incarnation of the Doctor, portrayed by William Hartnell, and the Black Delek designated as the “Supreme Controller” in the episode “Dalek Invasion of Earth” (December 1964).
