Taito USB R2-D2 CleanerThe world may not be ready for this, but Taito is bringing a USB-powered cleaner to desktops in the form of R2-D2.  Powerful enough to pick up little bits of dirt, dust, and small paper from your desk, but not much else, the nearly 4-inch droid may be only slight less practical than the USB humidifier.  Available for pre-order from NCSX, the retail price is about $21.  The R2-D2 cleaner is set to ship in August.

Available for pre-order from NCSX.  Retail price $20.90

Star Trek XI movie on USB drive

The folks at Play.com in the UK are offering a limited-edition version of the 2009 film Star Trek XI.. on a USB flash drive.  The 4 GB USB drive, in the shape of the Starfleet insignia, includes a DIVX certified DRM version of the movie (compatible with both PC or MAC OS).  Playable on up to five devices, the film can also be burned to a DVD.  The film itself consumes about 1 GB of the drive, leaving you 3 GB for your other storage needs.  This limited-edition piece is individually numbered, and is expected to ship in November.

Available for pre-order from Play.com.  Retail price £19.99 (~ $32 USD)
