Blizzard Entertainment announced today the official release date of Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, the highly anticipated follow-up game to the 1998 hit Starcraft. James Cameron’s film Avatar opens here in the US on Friday, December 18th (showtime/tickets), and so far the initial reviews are pretty good. Avatar is the story of a wounded ex-marine, Jake Sully, pushed into a growing conflict between human settlement expansion/ exploitation of an exotic planet called Pandora and the native Na’vi. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, Jake ultimately finds himself in a desperate fight for the survival of the indigenous people.
