New to DVD and Blu-ray: Moon, Ghost in the Shell, and More (Than Meets the Eye)

Moon Blu-ray CoverThis week we have a few new sci-fi goodies to be found on video shelves, including the festival-favorite Moon, an update to a great anime classic Ghost in the Shell, plus the animated Transformers: Season 2, Volume 2.

Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell), alone with the moon base’s watchful computer Gerty (voiced by Kevin Spacey), is close to finishing his 3-year contract with Lunar Industries when seeming disaster strikes.  More of a drama than a traditional sci-fi action flick, director Duncan Jones tackles the psychological impact of isolation, along with a few additional twists, in this low-budget film.
